About Dr Geetha Soosay, Osteopath

Geetha loves treating patients of all ages and in recent years has developed a special interest in treating babies and children. “I strive to help my patients return to as healthy a state as possible.’ she says.

“The way in which Osteopathy helps to encourage the body’s own self healing mechanisms keeps me passionate in my work.”

Geetha graduated from RMIT University in 2000 and treated within her own practice in Melbourne for 10 years prior to joining the team at Southside Osteopathic Clinic.

Prior to this Geetha worked in the Sydney CBD for almost 2 years, gaining experience in various reputable clinics, and then as part of her travels spent time in the French alpine region and in Cork, Ireland where she busily treated loyal patients in osteopathy over 3 years. During this period, Geetha worked in various aspects of osteopathy including the treatment of Gaelic football and Cork City football players. She also furthered her experience with paediatric osteopathy, which she finds particularly rewarding.

Geetha Treating

In 2011 Geetha completed her Graduate Certificate in Neonatal and Infant Paediatric Manual Therapy (in addition to having a child of her own). She uses a wide range of techniques depending upon the patient she treats. She is successful in aiding the body to heal itself and aims to have her patients in the best health possible.

Outside of work, Geetha is busy staying in good health herself (exercising frequently) and enjoying time with her husband and two children.
